Unmanipulated Photos

These are the pictures that were not selected for the front cvover of my magazine. The reason for this is because the do not bring out the persona of the Grime Artists i would want them to be towards the target audience. as you can see below that particular picture was the one that was chose. for the front cover, the reason being is because of the facial expression on their face and the way that they are stood.in my opinion this picture below is the perfect picture of a front cover like a magzine like this as it represents the music genre very well.

Mock UP's-

Idea one for front cover : i have decided that the title for my magazine is going to be called Grime, as you can see there are going to be exclusive features within the magazine that will attract the potential customers to buy it. for example on the front cover i have said : Top 50 old school Grime artists this is an appealing element to the magazine as the target audience would want to know more

idea one for contents page : this the layout i plan on using for my contents page i have have been influenced by a real life vibe magazine to use this layout. As you can see this layout is very neat and structured , this will help the audience's focus on the page as their is very minimul happening on this particualr page.
idea one for double page spread: i have also used an exisiting music magazine to help me with the layout of my double page spread. and once again i have used an simplisic strucutire for this page. On this ]particualr page i plan on writing a short biography about the artists life and also about there present sucess. this is so that the target audeince are satisfied with the information about the featuring artist for the magazine.

Profiling audience -The song that inspires Dawaynes Fashion Sence

Profiling your audience.

THE SOURCE ! READER : Dawayne 19 years of age is most passionate about uk hip-pop and grime music. Dawaynes love for music has very strong influence on the way he portreys him self for example; the way he dresses, it turns out that the hip-hop genre influenes the ways he dresses and the particular clothes he purchases. Dewayne describes the way he dresses as his ‘uniqueness’. The latest influence on his fashion sense is the song: Tyga-snapbacks back featuring Chris brown. Dewayne Interacts with music ‘all day everyday, 24 hours a day 365 days a year’. The only time he is not listening to music is when he is in a university lecture, however when it comes to doing coursework ‘the music has to be playing otherwise I just can’t function which means my course work is getting done’. Dewayne’s friends describe him has a music fanatic they also go on to say ‘if he’s not listening to music then he is talking about the latest song out by one of his favourite artists.’ Music motivates Dewayne to have the confidence to ‘lay down tracks once in a while’. Music stimulates DeWayne to an extent that he is in a studio recording some of his own material, hoping one day he will make it as big as the inspirational artists he engages with.

Audience Research

This audience research that I have conducted is to find out what exactly my target audience would want on my to see on my music magazine.

Codes and Convention -Double page spread.

Colour scheme: magazine double page spreads usually have a simplistic colour scheme meaning the colours are kept to a minimum this creates a current look for the magazine for example the colour schemes of this magazine : black, white and red.

For example this Q double page spread the one large image stays on the left side and does not cover both sides of the double page spread.

Cover lines: this Particular Q magazine uses many cover lines which are mostly on one side of the magazine cover. Usually magazines would have cover lines scattered all over. This is a common technique used to attract more people to want to by that specific magazine.
